Latisse
Latisse is a new, revolutionary, eyelash enhancing product that has recently been introduced on the market. Latisse can increase the length and thickness of the eyelashes, if used as directed.
Latisse works by prolonging the growth phase of the hair cycle of the eyelashes, through a mechanism not yet understood. Unfortunately, it does not help patients with loss of eyelashes caused by Alopecia Areata.
Latisse is useful and safe for patients of all skin types. However, safe use in pregnancy has not been established.

Increased incidence of Basal Cell Carcinomas in sun tanners
Previous studies have demonstrated an increased incidence of Squamous Cell Carcinomas and Malignant Melanomas in tanning bed users. Now, a recent article shows an increase of early onset of Basal Cell Carcinomas among users of tanning beds.
