The EMatrix uses a new approach to treating acne scars and wrinkles, called sublation. It works by heating thousands of tightly packed dots of skin uniformly.

What is new and different about this method of treatment is that the deeper layers of the skin are achieving higher temperatures than the superficial layers. As a result there is more tightening, the treated dots are much less visible and for a shorter time than with the Fractionated Laser Resurfacing and there is less need for makeup cover.Thus, less downtime.

There is less pain than with Fractionated Laser Resurfacing. The procedure is also faster.

It works on all skin types.

It does not work on rolled acne scars that require subcision.
