Spider Veins
Leg Spider Veins
Leg spider veins appear as thin red lines just under the surface of the skin, commonly found on the legs and thighs. They are more common in women than men and often accompany darker and thicker varicose veins. Other risk factors for spider veins include long periods of standing, family history, and other unknown causes.
Possible treatments:
Facial Spider Veins
Facial spider veins ("Broken blood vessels" or Telangiectases), are most of the time caused by sun damage or are part of Rosacea. Rarely they can be a sign of autoimmune Collagen Disease.
Facial spider veins can be dramatically improved by treatment with a 532 nm diode laser, Diolite , with no bruising. Some temporary flushing occurs.
