Dilated blood vessels (telangiectasias) are commonly seen as thin red lines on the face, especially around the nose and cheeks. They are often an isolated finding, but may also be a part of rosacea. Dilated blood vessels are increased in sun-damaged skin. Sun protection and avoidance are important to prevent worsening of this condition.
