"A Tanning Facility may not permit any person less than 18 years of age, regardless of whether the person has the permission of a parent or guardian, to use tanning equipment or a device defined as equipment that emits ultraviolet (UV) radiation used for tanning of the skin "
This is a milestone in the campaign to slow down the increase in the incidence of skin cancer, as it is known that teenagers are often prone to go to the tanning booths, especially if their parents do.

Alexandrite treatment for unwanted hair and spots
The Apogee Alexandrite 5500
is one of the most reliable lasers to combat unwanted dark hairs and dark spots on the skin
, such as freckles
, sunspots, melasma
or age spots. The Alexandrite
(Alex) laser uses a 755 nm wavelength, which is absorbed highly by melanin in the skin and hair follicles. The Alex laser works by emitting powerful laser energy into the targeted tissue ( pigmented lesion or hair follicle) that causes subsequent lightening to the lesions and destruction of the follicle without damaging the neighboring tissue.
For laser hair reduction
4-8 treatments may be necessary as the laser is only able to destroy hair follicles that are in the active growth phase. Because, hairs exist in three cycles (active growing or anagen; transitional or catagen; resting or telogen), several treatments are needed to adequently catch different hairs in the active cycle. After each treatment you will notice finer, lighter hairs with slower re-growth to each area treated.read more
