Surgeon General warns: skin cancer rampant!

Between 1950 and 2007, the melanoma rate rose 17 fold for men  (33.5 per 100,000) and 9 fold for women (25.3 per 100,000). In 2014, one person in 50 will be diagnosed with Malignant Melanoma.
The other common types of skin cancer  have also markedly grown in frequency.
Based on these facts, the Surgeon General of the United States has issued a call for action to prevent  skin cancer.

Leg and Facial Spider Veins

Leg and Facial Spider Veins - Chicago Dermatologist Article
Lakeview Dermatology Board Certified Dermatologists have successfully treated numerous patients with leg spider veins and facial spider veins in our dermatology clinics in Chicago, Park Ridge, Orland Park, and Palos Heights. At Lakeview Dermatology, we treat Spider Veins only, using injections of sclerosing solutions, which have remained the gold standard of treatment for leg spider veins. Our dermatologists use Diolite which is very effective in the treatment of facial spider veins, dilated blood vessels (telangiectasias), cherry angiomas, freckles, lentigo, liver spots, and some other small brown growths. Milia (tiny white cysts) can also be treated by modifying the technique.

Cellulite treatment with Thermage

Cellulite treatment with Thermage - Chicago Dermatologist ArticleCellulite treatment with Thermage - Chicago Dermatology Article

Thermage can reduce the lumpiness of cellulite. Thus, in addition to reducing the diameter and circumference of the thighs and buttocks, Thermage tightens the skin fairly uniformly, including the areas where the fat is herniating. One treatment usually suffices.
Cellulite is a rather common condition of middle age, mostly in women. The buttocks and thighs are primarily affected. There are lumps alternating with dells caused by uneven accumulation and herniation of fat lobules, separated by fibrous bands. To find out more about cellulite, please visit our cellulite page.
Sometimes the improvement is immediately noticeable but often it takes up to 6 months to see the optimum benefit. With the new protocol, 95% of patients are pleased with the results.
To discuss your Thermage® treatment in Chicago with a Board Certified Dermatologist please make an appointment today.
